My name is Christina.
In my early thirties, after several years in consulting within the automotive industry and a corporate career, I reached a breaking point.
I had spent countless hours crafting strategies and optimizing processes—work that was precise, effective, and ultimately intangible. I missed seeing the impact of my efforts materialize into something I could hold. I longed for work that didn't evaporate into PowerPoint slides and forgotten reports. I wanted to create something real, something I could touch, shape, and feel genuinely proud of.
Traveling and living abroad—in Mexico, the United States, and beyond—reshaped my understanding of freedom, independence, and what it truly means to work on your own terms. Time spent outdoors, immersed in different cultures, taught me that life doesn't have to follow a predetermined script. These experiences gave me the clarity and courage to step off someone else's corporate ladder and build something entirely my own.
ARIAGATA ATELIER was born from that pivotal moment.
It represents freedom of choice—for women who refuse to be confined by conventional expectations. Women who won't compromise their ambition, their style, or their vision of success. This is a business I can shape with intention, evolve with purpose, and grow without asking permission.

Each ARIAGATA bag is crafted with intention. We work exclusively with LWG-certified leather sourced from select Spanish tanneries known for their heritage, quality, and responsible practices. Every handbag is handmade in Spain, produced in small quantities in a family-run atelier where craftsmanship, precision, and care take precedence over mass production.
From the first cut of the leather to the final stitch, each piece is thoughtfully curated and made by hand — ensuring exceptional quality, longevity, and a level of detail that can only come from small-scale craftsmanship.

ARIAGATA is a tribute woven from memory and love. My grandmother, Agatha Maria, was the kind of woman who never apologized for speaking her mind—sharp-witted, effortlessly funny, fiercely independent, and the best cook for miles around.
I spent countless afternoons in her living room, draped in her silk scarves, dancing to the Flippers while she watched with that knowing smile. She taught me that elegance and strength aren't opposites—they're companions. So when it came time to name this brand, I turned her name inside out: (M)aria (A)gat(h)a became ARIAGATA.
